Elementary Workshops

SVLA is excited to be offering six workshops for our elementary students on Mondays from 11:20am-1:20pm. Workshops will be held February 5th, February 12th, February 26th, March 4th, March 11th, & March 18th 

 

(Pick-up will be at SVLA at 12:30 for students who are not going to the HUB.)

 

Monday, February 5th from 11:20am-12:30pm
 
K-2nd grades: Smile Club: A Toothtastic Guide to Dental Care and Dental Hygiene. This workshop is taught by Dr. Joseph & Mrs. Anya McCombs.
 
3rd-5th grades: Miniature Marvels: Elementary Diorama Art Workshop by Mr. Felix Acevedo.
 

Monday, February 12th from 11:20am-12:30pm

 
K-2nd grades: Miniature Marvels: Elementary Diorama Art Workshop. This workshop is taught by Mr. Felix Acevedo.
 
3rd-5th grades: Smile Club: A Toothtastic Guide to Dental Care and Dental Hygiene. Taught by Dr. Joseph & Mrs. Anya McCombs.

 

Monday, February 26th from 11:20am-12:30pm

 
K-2nd grades: Cooking Workshop: Whisking Up Fun in the Kitchen taught by Mrs. Bianca Cervantes
 
3rd-5th grades: Powder Puzzlers: Elementary Adventures in Forensic Analysis Workshop taught by Mrs. Kandace Patchen.

 

Monday, March 4th from 11:20am-12:30pm

 
K-2nd grades: Read, Imagine, Create with Dr. Seuss: Books are Fun Workshop taught with Mrs. Sharon Merkley and Mrs. Lillie Davies.
 
3rd-5th grades: Forensics Fun: Ink & Handwriting  Mini Detectives Workshop taught by Mrs. Kandace Patchen.
 
Monday, March 11th from 11:20am-12:30pm
 
K-2nd grades: The Amazing Brain: Exploring the Marvels of Our Brain Workshop taught by Melissa Madison
 
3rd-5th grades: Forensic Fingerprinting Fun and Hair Follicle Sleuths Workshop taught by Mrs. Kandace Patchen.
 
K-5th grades: Books are Fun Read-Aloud and Craft taught with Mrs. Sharon Merkley, Miss Avery and Mrs. Lacy Villeponteaux.
 
Monday, March 18th from 11:20am-12:30pm
 
K-5th grades:  Lucky Checkmate Challenge Workshop taught by volunteers Dave and Pat Holtz. A favorite here at SVLA, students of all skill levels will join in a chess workshop
 
 

"HUB Sports Center workshop" will be held at the HUB Sports Center from 12:30-1:20pm(19619 E Cataldo Ave, Liberty Lake, WA 99016 past the old CVSD Administration Building on Cataldo Ave.) taught by Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Suda. To attend, you will need to have a SIGNED Field Trip Permission Form on file in the office prior to February 5th. Students who attended the HUB for Q2 Workshops do not need to submit additional paperwork. Students will ride a CVSD bus to the HUB and parent pick-up will be at the HUB at 1:20pm.
